Founded in 2012 as a campus organization at East Carolina University, our mission was to uplift and empower minority male students. Recognizing the potential for positive change beyond the college campus, in 2019, we expanded our efforts to support community partners and businesses, aiming to foster growth and prosperity.

In our pursuit to make a lasting impact, we sought a name that embodied our core values. We chose T.E.A.M., which stands for “Together Everyone Achieves More.” We firmly believe that collaboration and unity are essential in achieving significant and sustainable progress. Alone, we may move swiftly, but together, we can go further..

Determined to make a difference in a community that needed us the most, we established our organization in one of Charlotte’s most marginalized areas. Here, we have the opportunity to directly influence the lives of individuals through financial literacy initiatives. Our aim is to provide resources and knowledge to empower individuals and families, allowing them to take control of their financial well-being.

Since our inception, we have achieved significant milestones. Through our dedicated efforts, we have assisted in the processing and recovery of over $1.3 million dollars in tax refunds, providing much-needed financial relief to those in our community. Additionally, we are proud to have engaged in over 850 successful client engagements, serving as a catalyst for positive change.

As we continue our journey, we remain committed to our vision of creating a stronger, more prosperous community through empowerment and education. Together, we strive to build a future where every individual has the tools and opportunities to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances.
